What's covered?

The Penn State Forensic Science Department invites you to sign up for a crash course in crime scene investigation!

The State College Police Department is enlisting the help of the Forensic Science program at Penn State to investigate a murder downtown State College. During the night, a family was awakened by some noise in the house. While the wife was calling 911, the husband went to check the downstairs area. The 911 operators heard a loud bang, shortly followed by screams. The wife announced that her husband had been shot and was lying on the floor covered in blood. The husband was pronounced dead by the EMT on scene.

The Forensic Science program at Penn State invites you to work through a unique crime scene and process the evidence that could lead to the conviction of the offender(s). You, the Forensic Scientist, will learn how
to process a crime scene, collect and examine chemical, biological and pattern evidence in a laboratory and use your findings to help re-construct and solve the crime. Join us and help solve the mystery that awaits this summer!
