A member of the PSU Space Cadets student club was filming the weekly vlog (video blog) when a surprise visitor appears and is caught on camera.   The visitor appears to be a not-so-friendly alien from outer space who murders one of the space cadet club members!  The murder is caught on film, but many questions remain: Is the alien was real? What were its motives for murder?  There is a complicated web of evidence that must be carefully collected and scrutinized in order to bring justice to light.  We need your young forensic scientist to help solve this tangled case and make sure the scientific evidence points at the right perpetrator. Your junior scientist will become part of an investigative team that will develop vital evidence in the laboratory and present their findings. They will learn how to collect evidence, map the crime scene, and conduct a number of scientific investigations on the evidence they discover. As a forensic scientist in training, your child will conduct hands-on experiments and meet with Penn State experts. S/he will gain new skills and knowledge, and make new friends.
