The 2016 Penn State Science-U Summer Camps at University Park, PA
Penn State Pre-Med Experience (Full, waitlist 19) from 19 June 2016 04:00 PM to 24 June 2016 04:00 PM
(June 19-June 24, Grades 5-8) Calling all future doctors, nurses, physician assistants and more! Come join us for a week-long pre-med experience! We’ll explore the wonderful world of anatomy and physiology, from the skeletal and muscular systems, to cardiovascular and nervous systems. Campers will conduct experiments and perform dissections on REAL tissue, such as the heart, brain and lungs. You’ll have the chance to work together with other campers as a medical team to make diagnoses and solve medical mysteries! So what are you waiting for? Finding Your Roots - A Two Week Experience! (Full, waitlist deactivated) from 19 June 2016 07:00 PM to 01 July 2016 04:00 PM University Park Campus,
THIS CAMP IS FULL, and due to the time restrictions of the research team, we are no longer accepting wait list additions. (June 20-July 1, Grades 6-8) Come join a premier team of scientists at Penn State and uncover the lineage of your own DNA! Campers will learn from anthropologists and biological experts the secrets to the past and the future at this all new camp. This camp is two weeks long.

(June 20-24, Grades 9-12) Join Penn State disease experts and learn the shocking truths about how and why a viral or bacteria apocalypse could happen, but never will. Campers will leave knowing more than they want to, and well equipped to teach others how to recognize, slow and prevent disease transmission.
Doctor Winkel's Wonder Workshop: The Science of Toys (Full, waitlist 8) from 27 June 2016 08:30 AM to 01 July 2016 03:00 PM
(June 27-July 1, Grades 2-3) Doctor Walter Winkel, the famous but reclusive toy maker, is looking for children to take over his toy workshop when he retires someday, but can he find imaginative children to learn all the science involved in how toys work? Only a select few will receive a titanium ticket to Doctor Winkel's Wonder Workshop to explore the science of toys!

CSI: The Case of the Luminescent Laboratory (Full day camp, full residential camp, waitlist full) from 10 July 2016 06:30 PM to 15 July 2016 04:00 PM
(July 10-15, Grades 4-8) We need your junior forensic scientist to help unravel this tangled mystery! Your child will become a member of an investigative team that will discover and develop the vital evidence by studying it in the laboratory. The team will conduct a number of experiments on the evidence they find at the crime scene. They will relentlessly pursue any criminal activity they uncover during their investigation and bring the guilty parties to justice.
