Extended Care
Because we know that many people work a traditional 8-5 work-day, Science - U has created an extended care option for parents who need that extra time in the morning and/or afternoon.

When is Extended Care Offered?
Monday – Friday Mornings from 7:45 am to 9:00 am
Monday – Thursday* Afternoons from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm
* Please note that extended-care will not be provided on Friday afternoons. Week-long camps conclude with camp-specific closing ceremonies on Friday afternoons, and campers will be dismissed following those ceremonies. More specific information on Friday’s camp schedules will be available in the parent information packet that will be distributed closer to the start of camps.
Who is eligible? Children entering grades 2 – 8.
How much does extended care cost? $50 per child per week.
Where will extended care be held? Extended care locations are yet to be determined.
Who will care for my children? Carefully selected and trained “Activity Leaders” who have received all clearances and had appropriate background checks will be in charge of extended care groups. Children will be closely supervised in a family-like environment, and a variety of age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities and games will be planned as well as group discussions. A “down-time” option will also be included for children who need to rest after a busy day at camp.
How will the ages be separated? Each week, Science – U has camp offerings for different age groups. Our staff will ensure that campers are divided into age-appropriate groups.
Reminder: Children can be dropped off starting as early as 7:45 am. Because our Activity Leaders will have worked a full day at camp and will need time to clean up and prepare for the next day, we ask that all children are picked up promptly by 5:15 pm each afternoon.
