What's covered?

There is no shortage of new, captivating, often scary things to learn about the world of infectious diseases! Join Penn State disease experts and learn the shocking truths of how parasites and pathogens impact you and all living organisms on the planet! Through hands-on activities, simulations, and visits to real research labs and field sites, campers will get a whirlwind introduction to what we know – and don’t know – about infectious diseases. By the end of camp, campers will be challenged to put their new knowledge to the test by solving a mysterious disease outbreak. Join us and get infected with a hunger to learn more! (Note: The first full day of camp is Monday, June 18th, but all campers will check in for an opening ceremony the evening of Sunday, June 17th.) 

Lunch and Snacks

  • Activity breaks will be taken each day to allow kids to eat their peanut free snacks that they brought from home.
  • Campers will eat lunch each day in one of the University dining commons.

Camp fees and registration

Register before midnight Mar. 19, 2018

  • $365 (day) $815 (residential)

Register after 12 am Mar. 20, 2018

  • $395 (day) $845 (residential)

Full-Day Camp:Learning campers

9:00 am - 4:00pm

Please drop your child off from between 8:50 and 9:00 am. Camp ends promptly at 4:00 pm. Please arrange to pick him/her up by 4:00 pm.

Extended Care

Extended care is not offered with this camp.
